Cloud concepts 25–30% of the exam
What cloud computing is, shared responsibility, public, private and hybrid models, consumption-based pricing, serverless, and IaaS, PaaS and SaaS with the use cases for each.

Azure architecture and services 35–40% of the exam
Regions, availability zones, subscriptions and management groups; compute, networking and storage options; and Azure identity and security – Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, Zero Trust and Defender for Cloud.

Azure management and governance 30–35% of the exam
What drives cost and how to manage it, tags, Purview, Azure Policy and resource locks, the portal, Cloud Shell, CLI and PowerShell, Azure Arc, infrastructure as code, and Azure Monitor.

About the exam
- You need a score of 700 or more to pass.
- Microsoft offers a free practice assessment and an exam sandbox for most exams – use both before you book.
- The exam fee is not included. It is paid to Microsoft when you book.
- Fundamentals certifications do not expire.
