SC-300 Training: Identity and Access Administrator

Identity is where most attacks start and where most defences are decided. You learn to design, implement and operate identity and access in Microsoft Entra: users and hybrid identity, authentication and Conditional Access, workload and application identities, and governance with access reviews and Privileged Identity Management.

What the exam covers

1. 1. Implement and manage user identities 20–25% of the exam

      Tenant configuration, roles and administrative units, users and groups at scale, external and cross-tenant access, and hybrid identity with Entra Connect and Cloud Sync.

   2. Implement authentication and access management 25–30% of the exam

      Authentication methods including passkeys and Temporary Access Pass, MFA and SSPR, Windows Hello for Business, Conditional Access end to end, ID Protection risk policies, and Global Secure Access.

   3. Plan and implement workload identities 20–25% of the exam

      Managed identities and service principals, enterprise applications and consent, app registrations and permissions, and app access control with Defender for Cloud Apps.

   4. Plan and automate identity governance 20–25% of the exam

      Entitlement management and access packages, access reviews, Privileged Identity Management and break-glass accounts, and monitoring with logs, KQL, workbooks and Identity Secure Score.
